Jesus Blesses the Children

You Matter to Jesus

The Story

Mark 10:13-16

People were bringing their babies and young children to Jesus, wanting Him to touch and bless them. But the disciples blocked the way — they thought Jesus was too important and busy for children.

When Jesus saw what was happening, He was indignant — deeply upset! He said firmly, 'Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.'

Jesus said that anyone who wants to enter God's kingdom must receive it like a little child — with trust, wonder, and dependence. Kids actually have something adults often need to learn!

Jesus took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them one by one. YOU are important to Jesus — not someday when you're older, but right now, exactly as you are!
