The Story
Luke 10:25-37
Someone asked Jesus, 'Who is my neighbor?' Jesus answered with a story. A man was walking from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him, stole everything, and left him hurt on the road.
A religious leader walked by — and crossed to the other side of the road. Then another leader came by — same thing. They were too busy to help!
But then a Samaritan came along. Samaritans and Jews were enemies — but when this man saw the hurt stranger, his heart was filled with compassion. He stopped, bandaged the man's wounds, put him on his donkey, and took him to an inn.
He even paid for the man's care and promised to come back if more was needed. Jesus asked, 'Which of these three was a true neighbor?' The answer was clear — the one who SHOWED LOVE with his actions.
What Can We Learn?
Everyone Is Your Neighbor
Your neighbor isn't just the person next door — it's anyone who needs help!
Actions Show Love
The Samaritan didn't just feel sorry — he DID something. Real love takes action.
Look for Needs Around You
The other men were too busy to notice. Slow down and look for people who need help.
Be the Change
Don't wait for someone else to help. You might be exactly who someone needs!
