Genesis 1-2
In the very beginning, there was nothing but God. Then God spoke, and the world burst into existence! On the first day, God said "Let there be light!" and brilliant light filled the darkness.
Each day God made something new and wonderful. The sky and water on day two. Dry land and plants on day three. The sun, moon, and stars on day four. Fish and birds on day five.
On day six, God made animals of every kind — big and small, spotted and striped! Then God made the very first people, Adam and Eve, and loved them deeply.
On day seven, God rested and blessed that day as holy. Everything God made was very, very good!
