When Walls Come Tumbling Down
The Story
Joshua 6
God's people finally reached the Promised Land, but there was one problem — the city of Jericho stood in their way. It had thick, tall walls that seemed impossible to break through.
God gave Joshua the strangest battle plan ever: march around the city once a day for six days. On the seventh day, march around seven times, then have the priests blow their trumpets and everyone SHOUT!
Joshua trusted God's unusual plan completely. The people marched silently for six days while the people inside Jericho probably laughed at them.
On the seventh day, after the seventh march, the trumpets blew and everyone shouted as loud as they could. CRASH! The walls of Jericho fell straight down — and God's people walked right in!
What Can We Learn?
God's Plans Seem Unusual
Marching around a city doesn't sound like a battle plan! But God's ways are higher than our ways.
Obedience Brings Victory
Joshua obeyed exactly what God said, and God gave the victory.
Praise Is Powerful
A shout of praise brought the walls down! Praising God is more powerful than you think.
God Fights for You
It wasn't the Israelites' strength that won — it was God's power. He fights for His people!
